Tricia Turk founded Turk Interiors in 2014 with a passion to help homeowners share their story and bring personality and depth into the design of their home.
Her path to entrepreneurship involved some twists and turns, as many entrepreneurial stories do. Tricia’s had the desire to start her own business since she was very young, and her creative drive and passion has been part of her since childhood. She obtained a degree in Fashion and gained a deep understanding of color theory, pattern, scale, and balance with a plan to pursue a career in the fashion and textile industry.
When Tricia married her husband, life had other plans (at least, temporarily). A military family, Tricia, her husband, and their two sons moved often. They lived in 14 different homes, including overseas, in the span of 21 years and immersed themselves into different cultures and neighborhoods. With each new space they found themselves in, it was important to Tricia to establish a sense of home and belonging everywhere they went.
After 24 years experiencing and living in new places, her husband retired and their family settled down from their transient life in Colorado Springs. Tricia saw her dream of opening a business come true.
She started Turk Interiors in 2014 and today, she proudly and confidently leads her design team and is known for her kind, joyful spirit, strong work ethic, keen observational eye, and deep listening skills.
For fun, she loves: traveling with her husband, Joe, biking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Julia brings five years of professional design experience to the Turk Interiors Team. She started school with a focus on architecture before moving on to help craft multimillion dollar residential spaces in Miami, Florida. Her architectural background gives her an edge in space planning and incorporating client wants and needs with the space available.
She mastered monochromatic design while working with clients in Miami. She is masterful at designing with textures and clean lines. Julia states she loves that the clientele in Colorado give her the opportunity to incorporate color, adding diversity, depth and a little surprise to a design.
Julia has been playing classical piano since she was six years old and flute since she was in middle school. When she is not designing, she can be found at home crocheting accessories or playing video games while listening to classical music.
Rochelle fell into the Turk Interiors orbit by chance, and refuses to leave. She brings experience in communications and project management to this exceptional team and spent four months digging into the operations side of the business to help with the growing demand for these unique services. Her role as a contractor provides support to the team allowing them to focus on the artistic and the day to day.
Her spare time is usually spent shuttling kiddos around to their various activities. She considers it a treat to explore Colorado Springs and write about the people she meets and how they contribute to their community.
Joe grew up in a military family and proceeded to join the Air Force in 1983. After graduating from the Air Force Academy in 1987, Joe served for 26 years in a variety of positions in communications, training and base support on bases around the globe. After retiring from the Air Force in 2013, Joe worked in the civilian sector as a project manager and human performance consultant.
As the Operations Manager for the Turk Interiors team, he utilizes his vast experience in Project Management and Human Resources to assist in the day-to-day operations of the family business. In his free time, he loves traveling and cycling with Tricia and spending time with their two adult sons and their two dogs.
Our supportive, warm, and collaborative team will guide you through the interior design process while encouraging fun, laughter, and inspiring ease.

They produced a design that both fit our existing style and deftly persuaded us to think more boldly about some of the more dated (lame) elements in our house. They created a custom metal screen that is really a piece of functional art, and even convinced us to wallpaper an entry wall. “Wallpaper???”, we shrieked. “Trust us”, they said. Well, it took a minute to buy in… but our trust paid off because it looks incredible. We still can’t believe how well everything works together and just feels like us.
